We also run events and sponsored activities each year to raise much needed funds, see below for the full list.

Athletic Event
Hold a mass exercise event and charge participants to enter or get sponsored.

Ball
Organise a charity dinner-dance and sell tickets to friends and/or colleagues.

Car wash
Get into your local community offering car washes at a cost – particularly good for kids!

Disco
Another ticket event – dance the night away.

Entertaining guests
Open your house for a coffee morning or cheese and wine event, where proceeds go to charity.

Fashion Show
Budding designers, artists, bargain hunters or even high street shops can be convinced to loan clothes for a show. Sell tickets, refreshments, and maybe even the clothes?

Gift Aid
Gift Aid offers tax relief for gifts made to charities by individuals or companies. There is no longer a lower limit for donations in order to qualify for gift aid. Should you wish to make a donation to the House, please get in touch.

Healthy Eating Week
Sponsored by the day; a good opportunity to give your diet an overhaul. Watch the pounds roll in and roll off.

It’s a knockout
Use a local sports centre. Invite local schools, sports clubs etc., or just hold it at your child’s school sports day! Charge an entry fee.

Jumble Sale
Ask people to donate old records, bric-a-brac, clothes, toys etc.

Karaoke
Hire a box and sell tickets, or head down to your local for a competition.

Legacies
Supporting a charity in your will.

Marathon
Race your way to sponsorship monies.

No Smoking
Get sponsored and give up.

Opera / Orchestra
Get in touch with your local amateur group and host a production/concert, with profits to charity.

Pub Challenge – darts/snooker/pool
Involve local public houses to hold a darts match etc.

Quiz Night
Charge teams an entrance fee.

Raffle
Ask local shops, sports teams etc., for items (signed ball is always good!) and then sell tickets to family, friends, etc.

Soothing Skills
Can you or a friend offer massage or aromatherapy?

Trek
Head to the Himalayas, the Andes or Kilamanjaroo and get sponsorship.

Unbelievable Experiences! (sky dive)
Dare to step out of your comfort zone and sky dive for sponsorship!

Variety Show
Put on a show for friends and family.

Working
Give as You Earn – tax-free payroll giving. An employee or pensioner on PAYE can give up to a current minimum of £900 per year from their gross pay, if their employer offers the scheme. If you’re interested to get this scheme going in your place of work, we would love to hear from you!

Xmas Party…
A festive event with lots of mince pies and mulled wine.
